About this course
At TOPIK I level, vocabulary decides your score more than anything else. Get the words and the small grammar particles right and most of the paper opens up. This course covers all 938 word entries from the TOPIK GUIDE TOPIK I Vocabulary book across 45 lessons.
The words are taught by theme, in an order that matches how beginners actually build a language. You start with foundations, then people, the body and the home; food, clothes and shopping; school, work and places; and transport, weather and leisure. Each theme is a small, finishable piece of work rather than an endless list.
Two sections go beyond themes. One covers the core word classes: the action verbs, descriptive words and other building blocks that appear in every passage regardless of topic. The other covers numbers, time expressions and the small words, including particles. Particles are the single most common reason beginners misread a TOPIK I sentence, so they get proper teaching rather than a footnote.
Every word comes with an example sentence and an English translation, and with audio: 1,872 clips in all. The drills are built to match the question formats TOPIK I actually uses, so you practise matching a word to a picture, reading a sign, completing a dialogue, and recognising a word by its sound.
