About this course

This course takes the 2,589 words in the TOPIK GUIDE TOPIK II Vocabulary book and turns them into 52 lessons you can actually work through. A list is not a study plan. Words need to arrive in a sensible order, in a context, with sound attached, and they need to come back often enough to stay.

Most of the course is organised by theme. There are sections on daily life, emotions and health; education, work and society; nature, food and opinions; and the more demanding topics that appear at Levels 5 and 6. Learning a theme at a time means the words support each other, and it matches how TOPIK passages are built, since a reading passage about the environment uses environment vocabulary throughout.

About a thousand high-value words are taught in depth. Each one comes with example sentences, an English translation and drills in the official TOPIK question formats, so you practise recognising the word the way the exam will ask about it. The remaining words are covered in fast recognition rounds, which means nothing from the book is left out but your time goes where it matters most.

Every word is spoken aloud. There are 3,667 audio clips in the course, so you learn what each word sounds like and not only what it looks like. That matters more than learners expect: a word you have only ever read is a word you will miss in the listening paper.

Two sections go beyond word meanings. One covers traps and nuance, the near-synonyms and easily confused pairs that TOPIK likes to test. Another covers the idioms and proverbs that turn up in the exam. A high-frequency sprint near the end drills the words that appear most often in past papers, and a “Show all / Hide all meanings” button lets you turn any lesson into a self-test. A final check closes the course.
