About this course
The TOPIK Speaking test is a separate exam with its own format, and it catches people out. You speak into a computer, you get a fixed preparation time and a fixed answering time, and there is no examiner to help you along. Knowing the shape of each task in advance is most of the preparation.
This course covers the format and the foundation skills first: how the test runs, how answers are scored, and the speaking habits that make an answer sound organised rather than hesitant. Then it gives one section to each of the six tasks.
Task 1 is answering a question. Task 2 is a role play from a picture. Task 3 is telling a story from a series of pictures. Task 4 is completing a dialogue. Task 5 is interpreting data. Task 6 is presenting an opinion. Each task has its own demands, its own useful phrases and its own timing, and each section teaches those specifically rather than offering general speaking advice.
You hear model answers rather than only reading them. There are 317 audio clips of model answers and exam prompts, so you learn what a good answer sounds like at speaking speed. The picture, story and data tasks come with 44 illustrations, in the style the real test uses.
A voice recorder is built into the lessons. You record your own answer under the real time limit, then play it back against the model. Hearing your own recording is uncomfortable the first time and extremely useful every time after that: it is where you notice the long pauses, the repeated fillers and the sentences that trail off.
The course ends with two full mocks, a two-week bootcamp plan for learners who are short of time, and test-day guidance.

Is the Speaking test the same exam as TOPIK I or TOPIK II?
No. TOPIK Speaking (말하기 평가) is a separate test with its own six tasks and its own levels. This course prepares you for that test specifically.
